Why Unstoppable Moms Rule!

I wrote this post as part of my participation in a blog tour for The Motherhood on behalf of the makers of Children’s MOTRIN® and received compensation to thank me for taking the time to participate. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Me-mom

Hey All!

Who are the Unstoppable Moms in your life? I grew up with three unstoppable moms in my life which included my late grandmother (Mom to 5 Kids and at least 50 adopted neighborhood kids she also took care of), My late Aunt (mom to 3 and also like a mom to me), and my own mom. They are all the definition of an unstoppable mom. My grandmother was a stay at home mom and nanny. She used to not only maintain a household and raise five kids of her own, she took care of almost everyone in her neighborhoods kids. She did it all with a smile and always was the epitome of kindness and generosity. She never complained about a thing and she always made sure every child she took care of (whether it was her own child or a child she took care of) always felt loved and provided for.

My aunt and my mom both worked full time jobs and my aunt had 3 kids to take care of and she would always help me as well. Whether I needed a computer for school or some help with my school tuition, my aunt would always help me and encourage me to pursue my dreams. My actual mom always fed my creativity and always provided for me even when we didn’t have the most money. She never wanted me to feel like we had any less than the kids in my classes growing up. She would kill herself to get me all the latest fashions and toys.

Their dedication and drive to do the best for their family and children was truly inspirational. No obstacle was too great to over come and they always did what ever they had to do to over come it. It was something that I learned and took with me as I grew up. It truly showed me how I could be an unstoppable mom when I grew up. If I faced any challenge there was always a solution and answer. It may be tough or hard work to get to the solution, but you can get there no matter what. Unstoppable Moms Rule!!

Our recent move to a new home has been very tough for me and my family as it’s always hard to uproot your entire life and family to a new location. It takes a lot of adjusting and letting go and unpacking. The letting go of things I tend to hold onto for memory sake has been the hardest thing for me to do. But I know there are only new memories and a great new life in store for us in this new home. The challenge of making this house a home is not going to stop me because I have the tools taught to me by my mom, grandma, and mother that make me unstoppable.

Are You Unstoppable?

The makers of Children’s MOTRIN® are inspired by all the things Moms do, from quick family meals to keeping the kids entertained on rainy days. Moms may not always realize it, but they are amazing in so many ways. Moms are on call day and night and have so much unique knowledge that can really help other moms. That’s why the makers of Children’s MOTRIN® are asking moms to share this knowledge in the form of tips and tricks that help keep them going. These can be their own tips or those from moms they know, and can be about everything from how they create quick meals for their family to how they keep the kids entertained on a long drive.

I’ll be sharing my own tips on the MOTRIN® Facebook page on Nov. 24th & Dec. 15th  that you should definitely stay tuned for and share your own tips on the MOTRIN® Facebook page that showcases what makes you unstoppable. Questions will be posted, and you are encouraged to respond to the most current question on the Facebook page. Questions will fall into five categories (categories and guiding questions below that will be on the MOTRIN® Facebook page).

The makers of Children’s MOTRIN® are asking Moms to post their tips and tricks to the MOTRIN® Facebook page under each week’s Kelly Ripa question video and for every post, Children’s MOTRIN® will donate $1 to Safe Kids Worldwide, a global nonprofit that provides moms with the tips they need to help keep their children safe. Moms could even win weekly giveaways of $100 gift cards just for posting.*
