A Date Night With Some Tasty Duncan Hines Perfect Size Cake!

Me and the hubby always like to take at least one day out of the week to have a date night. It’s the one day we get to escape and just have some alone time away from everything. We go out to a movie, have dinner, and come home and have some ice cream or dessert as we snuggle on the couch. It’s become our date night routine. Thankfully we’re going to add some cake to our routine because Duncan Hines has created a delicious new line of Perfect Size cakes.

They are available in 5 deliciously indulgent flavors:

Chocolate Lover’s (chocolate cake with chocolate frosting)
Red Velvet Dream (red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting)
Lemon Bliss (lemon cake with lemon frosting)
Strawberries and Crème (strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting)
Golden Fudge (golden cake with chocolate frosting)

I was happy to get to try 4 of the 5 flavors including Golden Fudge, Lemon Bliss, Chocolate Lover’s, and Red Velvet Dream flavors. Golden cake with chocolate frosting and lemon cake are my favorite!

The package comes with everything you need to make a cake sized for 2 to 4 people. Now you can celebrate the little things in life with a perfect-sized cake for two, not ten. These are the perfect sized dessert to enjoy with your special someone on a date night. I couldn’t wait for our date night to try these.

Each kit comes with a cake mix, frosting mix, and a disposable 6-inch round pan made just for the cake. Simply prepare as directed for a moist and delicious cake that is topped with a rich, smooth and creamy frosting. There’s no need to buy a special pan to make these perfectly sized cakes and there’s no pan to clean up.

You simply do as the pan says. You Bake, Cool, and Press the white circle at the bottom of the pan to pop out the cake from the pan. I will all pans did this honestly. It would make removing cakes from pans so much easier. Once you have your cake perfect cooled, you then mix up the frosting for the cake. You spread your frosting all over your cake.

You can add sprinkles if you’d like to decorate your cake further. I love sprinkles in case you couldn’t tell from the pictures of my lemon bliss cake in the pics above and below.

You can place the cake on a cake stand to serve or you could honestly just leave your cake in the pan and frost it while it’s still in the pan. I always add some sprinkles to my cakes in case you couldn’t tell.

You can literally have this small cake in your lap on a date night and snuggle up with your significant other as you eat your delicious dessert. It’s literally the length of a standard sized fork as you can see in the picture below. That’s one small but extra tasty cake!

It’s the little things in life that make us very happy. It’s always great to take the time to celebrate our marriage and date nights by enjoying a little piece of cake heaven.
