Hey All!
Today is National Banana Split Day in case you didn’t know it! I celebrate any day that allows me to eat yummy Dreyer’s Ice Cream with my family. I decided to make my own version of a Mini Banana Split Using a Chocolate Dipped Waffle Bowl with sprinkles and a golden cream filled mini cake that we all know and love.
It’s such a fun and easy summer treat to make with your family. I love staying home and spending time with the family while creating tasty desserts together. It’s the rare little moments we get before the back to school rush starts.
All you need to make this Mini Cake Filled Banana Split Recipe is:
- Dreyer’s Slow Churned Classic Vanilla Ice Cream
- Small Waffle Bowls
- Milk Chocolate Candy Melts
- Golden Cream Filled Cakes also known as something that starts with a T.
- Banana
- Sprinkles
- Whipped Cream
- Cherry
- Chocolate Sauce
First you melt the chocolate for a minute and a half in the microwave.
You then dip the waffle bowl into the chocolate just to cover the edges of the bowl. You then dip it into the sprinkles and create a sprinkled chocolate rim on the waffle bowl.
You then cut your banana in half and then slice each half down the middle. You place each half of the banana’s into each waffle bowl you make. You then cut your cake in half and place one half into each bowl you make.
You then place two scoops of ice cream and then top it off with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry.
The flavors of the chocolate sauce, the banana, and the cake mix perfectly together and it’s a small treat that really hits the spot for me and my family. It’s perfect for those warm summer days like today.
Only a few easy steps for a delicious tasty treat.
I’m thrilled today was National Banana Split Day as it was the perfect warm summer day to enjoy a nice cold treat like this! We love our Dreyer’s ice cream every day, but especially on National Banana Split Day!

Now that’s a desert, I could eat all day.
That’s so sweet – no pun intended – of Dreyers to donate to Operation Smile. I think that is a worthy cause.
On a separate note, I think I need to go get some Dreyers so that I can celebrate National Banana Split Day. 🙂

I love your use of sprinkles in desserts. I know it’ll be yummy if it’s got sprinkles!

This looks heavenly and I bet it tastes even better. Cake and ice cream are two of my favorites, but combined this is definitely a win.
