As you all know I recently got married. It was such a fun event! We wanted to give ourselves some time off after the wedding to relax and then take our honeymoon. We waited until August as this month is ripe with the spirit of adventure, which makes it a top month for travel and weddings. And just like any trip, a marriage isn’t about where you’re going, it’s about the unexpected experiences along the way that make it truly worth going the distance.
We decided to go on a pre-honeymoon weekend away as we save for a lavish European vacation honeymoon. We went to Palm Springs as it’s easy to get to for the weekend. We hadn’t been there in years so it was surprising to see how vibrant and hip the place had become. It was an adventure in color and we loved viewing all the colorful houses and resorts. Having our first weekend alone together as man and wife truly brought us closer together as it allowed us to have some private bonding time that we normally don’t get to have since we’re so busy all the time.
We were lucky that we only had a few registries for our wedding and one of those was a Target Wedding registry. We wanted to register for things we knew that we could use to not only have a fun-filled ultimate summer experience on our weekend honeymoon get-a-way, but also for our European adventure honeymoon.
Items like this SwissGear City Pack and this Oh Joy Metal Wire Lantern Candle Holder will come in handy as we’re back packing through Europe or even camping out under the stars in Palm Springs.

Congrats to you and your new husband! I love the pictures and the idea of a couples traveling adventure for your honeymoon. I have someone special in my life and even though we are not a the stage of marriage it has been great connecting and building our foundation. We have had some bumps but no deal breakers (throws hands up in praise). I love to cook, he can cook but hasn’t developed that passion like me. What I love is he enjoys assisting me. I absolutely love appliances they help make cooking easier and he loves to travel so our registry would consist of practical things that would benefit both of those.
