Hey All!
Did you catch my previous post about Disney’s PLANES and November being National Aviation History Month? Well if you didn’t, I just had to share with you my experience at Disney Toon Studios and how Disney is not only celebrating the release of PLANES on DVD and Blu-ray, but also celebrating Aviation Month.
The studio was everything you could imagine. It was the world of planes come to life as the studio was decorated like an actual airport hanger for planes. It was complete with a run way.
We took a tour of the studio and learned from the film makers of PLANES how much aviation has inspired them throughout their lives. Stay tuned for those individual interviews. In our nation’s history, the world of flight has given us such influential role models as the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart, all famous aviators who proved that, no matter how high their dreams, with imagination, hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
Now a part of the aviation history is Dusty. That’s me and Dusty below! If you’re not familiar with the film, Dusty is a crop duster with sky-high dreams and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take on the world’s fastest flyers in the greatest air race ever.
The film PLANES allows Disney animation to give families everywhere a new kind of high-flying role model in Dusty.
His indomitable spirit reflects that of history’s great aviators and is sure to inspire children’s imaginations to take flight this November. This film is sure to inspire would be pilots every where. The film has realistic flight moves and planes that reflect each country in the world. Aviation is truly a universal topic that all people around the world can celebrate.
Disney is taking November to salute National Aviation History Month, by doing this it’s truly giving Disney’s PLANES its wings as it soars onto blu-ray. During this month-long celebration of U.S. aviation select aviation museums will feature “PLANES”-inspired learning materials designed to introduce children to the exhilarating world of flight and its most celebrated figures.

Aviation Month is sure to be a fun one! For more information on Planes and participating museums please visit the PLANES Facebook page.
Disney PLANES is out on Blu-ray November 19th!
