DIY Hocus Pocus Potion Popcorn!

Hey All!

I’m super excited to kick off Halloween 2018 with this fun DIY Hocus Pocus Potion Popcorn! Who doesn’t love Hocus Pocus? I know I do with a passion! As you all know, I’ve been all Hocus Pocus DIY’s since forever and this year I’m even more about it since it’s the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus. Can you believe it’s been that long?!! I’m so excited to watch it this year on FreeForm and I know I’ll be sure to make some of this popcorn to enjoy as I watch.

Here is how to make it.

  • 8 Cups of Popped Popcorn
  • 1 Box Lime Jello
  • 8 Tbsp Butter (1 Stick)
  • 6 Tbsp Corn Syrup
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • Candy Eyes
  • Mix of small candy balls
  • Mini Cauldrons

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In medium size sauce pan, add the sugar, corn syrup, butter, lime Jello and mix well.

Stirring constantly, cook over medium to high heat until it forms into a boil. Stir and cook additional minute then take off heat. Pour mixture over popcorn and mix with a spoon until all the mixture has coated the popcorn.

Spread popcorn mixture evenly on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Place in oven and bake for 15-18 minutes. The mixture will still be a little gooey when you get it out, but it’ll start to harden as it cools.

Once completely cooled, break pieces apart and place into the cauldrons. Add eyeballs and candy pieces.

That’s all you have to do to enjoy this fun Halloween treat!

Now all you need to do is turn on Hocus Pocus and enjoy this tasty popcorn treat!

And don’t forget to check out the Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash on October 20th and the movie marathon that will be playing on FreeForm on October 31st Halloween Day!
