Hey all!
The holidays are here and it’s my favorite time of year! I love making festive and easy DIY decorations for our home. This year I had some leftover wooden blocks and I decided to turn them into this DIY Wood Block Snowman! It’s a pink snowman of course! It’s super easy to make and perfect for all those who love a pink holiday like I do! I made this with my Surebonder® Glue Guns and Glue Sticks. I’m sure you all know by now how much I love my Surebonder® Glue Guns and Glue Sticks! I’m thrilled to partner with them once again to make this cute DIY Wood Block Snowman, because Surebonder® is a staple in my crafts and DIY projects.
There really isn’t a DIY that I don’t pull out my glue gun for!
What I love most about this project is that it can be made with random items around the house and is super easy to make.
Surebonder® was kind enough to send me their products to make this DIY with. I love Surebonder® not only because they make the best glue guns and glue sticks around, they are also a family owned business. Which is rare to find these days!
They’ve been around since 1968 and are made right here in the USA! I’m all about supporting products made in the USA!
For this project we’ll be using their Full Size Ultra Duel Temp Glue Gun with Auto Shut Off and The Crafting and DIY Cordless/Corded Mini Size Specialty Detail Tip Glue Gun.
We’ll also be using their green heat resistant mat.
We’ll also be using their Color Stik glue sticks and their Clear Stiks. The Clear Stiks come in sizes for mini and full-size glue guns. They are my go-to for all my crafts and I love that they come in long sticks and rolls, so you don’t have to constantly change glue sticks as your making your DIY’s and crafts.
Below is the full list of everything you’ll need to make this DIY Wood Block Snowman below:
- And all the amazing products from Surebonder®that I mentioned above.
- Black and Pink Acylic Paint Pens.
- White and Pink Acrylic Paint.
- Paint Brushes.
- Various Size Wood Blocks to form the Snowman Body and Hat.
- Mini Bows.
- Pastel Buttons.
- Pink Gingham Ribbon.
- Orange Craft Foam.
- Silicone Finger Protectors.
- Blue Felt.
First you’ll paint your large body wood blocks white. Let them dry. Once they are dry, glue the blocks together to form your snowman.
Next you’ll use the Color Stick to fill in any gaps between the blocks and gift it a snow feel.
We’ll use the white Color Stik glue stick to do this.
Make sure you go completely along each section with the white glue.
Then you’ll paint the blocks you have for the hat pink. Let those dry. While they dry cut out a carrot nose from the orange craft foam.
Once the pink hat blocks are dry, you’ll then glue them to your snowman white blocks.
You’ll then cut out and glue a strip of blue felt to the hat…
Followed by a mini pink gingham ribbon.
Next you’ll glue on the carrot nose and draw on the face with your black and pink acrylic pens.
You’ll then glue three the buttons down the center of the snowman.
Lastly you’ll wrap the gingham ribbon around the neck and you’re done!
How cute is this little snowman?! I’m obsessed with it!
It fits so perfectly with my holiday decorations! I love the little pink gingham bows. It’s giving Barbie snowman! Love it!
