Hey All!

I’m always excited to partner with brands that truly care about and support women. That’s why I’m so thankful to be an ambassador for the lingerie company Vanity Fair. I hope you took advantage of the Buy One, Get One, Give One event I shared about last month. The event helped support the women who are part of the Dress for Success® program. It’s such an amazing organization that helps so many women. I thought I would take the opportunity to share a little more about the organization.

Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

However, the employment retention programs are the cornerstone of the organization. Dress for Success gives women the tools to help them get back to work and assist them in remaining employed, as well as progressing in their positions until they have reached their desired level of professional achievement and personal fulfillment.

Dress for Success career centers promote confidence and professionalism by pairing clients with staff members who work one-on-one with them. 70% of women that Dress for Success serves are mothers, raising between 2-3 children on average. Dress for Success believes that “self-sufficiency” is more than just a suit or a job – it is an overall commitment to being independent in all aspects of life.

It’s such an important organization to have around. With the unpredictable career I have as a blogger, stylist, and social media manager, I never know when and if my work will come. Having a job and steady work is so important to me, because I have to support my family. The bills won’t get paid with out my income. I’m lucky to have have a steady and flexible work schedule with some amazing opportunities at the moment. Who knows what the future holds with the unpredictability of having my own business. I never know if one day I’ll need the help of Dress for Success, but it’s great to know that it’s there. I hope my career keeps growing and becoming more successful, as I don’t know what me and my family would do with out my career. I can just imagine what it’s like for all those needy women out there.
