On Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 4PM to 5PM EST I will be a Panelist on the Big Brothers Big Sisters #LatinoBigs Twitter Party! I would love for you to join me and all the following amazing Blogueras aka Bloggers to discuss the importance of mentorship and being a role model in a child’s life.

Have you ever considered changing the life of a child who is at risk?  Big Brothers Big Sisters recently launched Latino Bigs.  The site is geared towards the Hispanic community and encourages mentoring young children from elementary to high school. 81% of adults who participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters program as Littles say their Big Brother or Big Sister caused them to broaden their horizons – to change what they thought possible in life.  Imagine the possibilities for our youth!

Please join Big Brothers Big Sisters, Latino Bigs and Latina Mom Bloggers as we discuss the importance of mentoring, the impact mentoring has on our Latino youth and how you can become a Latino Big.   Latino Bigs will also answer any of your questions regarding mentorship and our panelists will share their personal mentoring stories.

LatinoBigs change the lives of children. Compared to children not in our program, Latino Bigs Littles are LESS likely to skip school, use drugs and begin drinking alcohol. Children matched in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs maintain or improve outcome areas of educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors and socio-emotional competency.  Latino Bigs participants are also more likely to graduate and be prepared for employment.
