Hey all!
There are lots of magical experiences happening at Disney resorts in 2013! I’m so excited as this is going to be a magical year for families who love Disney as much as we do. They are offering amazing events thanks to “Limited Time Magic” and their “Monstrous Summer” celebrations. Visiting the parks will surprise and delight you in unexpected ways. This year will be filled with new entertainment and imaginative events through out the year!
The festivities kicked off this weekend with a 24 hour Monstrous Summer event in which Disneyland and Disney World were open for 24 hours straight. It was an amazing event that was a huge success! Since we’re located in Southern California and we are Annual Passholders, we visit Disneyland often and we can’t wait to check out all the parks have in store this year.
If you’re in the Southern California area you will also want to check out the new and amazing Fantasy Faire!
Fantasy Faire is the latest addition to Disneyland Park and it truly is a site to see!
While at the Fantasy Faire you can catch Mickey and the Magical Map! This new show premiered at the Fantasyland Theatre on May 25. Check out this amazing video from Disney parks on how this fantastical show came to be.
The all-new stage spectacular follows Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer’s apprentice and a variety of other Disney characters as they embark on a series of musical adventures through the magical powers of a sorcerer’s map. From what I hear it’s a must see! We can’t wait to see it!
Each performance will feature 24 talented performers along with that magical map. The theater also has an amazing new lighting system and sound system with 61 speakers and 9.1 surround sound.
Delight in special appearances by some of your favorite Disney Characters and stories including:
- King Louie from The Jungle Book
- Pocahontas from Pocahontas
- Mulan from Mulan
- Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled
- Tiana from The Princess and the Frog
Follow along as the magic map’s compass points the way to new and fantastic worlds. Mickey and the Magical Map will take you to:
- Explore Adventure Islands for a swinging time with the coolest of jungle beasts, King Louie.
- Be inspired by Pocahontas and other storybook heroines in Dream Village.
- Dive into Celebration Peaks for some underwater fun with Sebastian.
- Continue the adventure in Friendship Woods where you’ll discover all sorts of fun.
If you’re a Disneyland Annual Passholder (like we are) you will definitely want to check out all these amazing new additions to the park!

How cool!!
Wow cool, I’ve never been to Disneyland.
I can’t wait to see these new additions!
Very cool!
My 4yo has been begging us to take her to Disneyland, but we just went in December. We probably won’t go back for another year or so.
We were there the weekend before the magical lamp opened. Bummer.
24 hrs of Disney would be HEAVEN! I wish I could of been there!
I’ve been to Disney World but never to Disney Land. I’d love to visit!
I’ve never been to Disney Land (or World), but hope to take our son at some point in the not too distant future. 🙂
I need to get back to both Disney World and Disneyland.
