Hey All!

I have been through a lot growning up in New York City. I grew up in a very small housing complex (aka the projects) in Manhattan across the street from Lincoln Center. I knew growing up I had to triumph over adversity, fear and doubt in myself that I would never have more than how I was living. Being a Latina that comes from a family who has never had a family member go to college, I was determined that no matter what kind of trouble or mistakes I made in my life I was going to do better for myself and for my own family one day. I did go to college after many struggles and I graduated from NYU.

Shortly after I relocated my family (which I started at s very young age) to a new state California. Yes I packed our bags and headed to the other side of the country. I’ve always wanted to live in California as it always seemed so family friendly and simply just a much better place to raise a family. We had to start from the ground up by getting new jobs and making new friends. We did it because it was what was best for our family. We got more space, we saved more money, and I could get to see my family living happier. All the struggle of moving to a new state was worth it. If I hadn’t done it I don’t think that we would be living this good life we have now.

I cherish every moment we have together for being optomistic and taking the chance for a Good Life.

That’s the message of Allstate Good Life as well. Allstate’s “Good Hands for the Good Life” is new and different for an insurance company. It has a voice of optimism and celebration vs. fear. The Allstate brand commercial tells the story of how there are risks everywhere, but we as people don’t let it hold us back from making our lives good. Allstate is an insurance company who works everyday to help build more good in the lives of their customers.

Allstate believes that the notion of the Good Life is inherently social; it is already taking place in people’s natural social conversations and now Allstate has permission to join in because they are an insurance company who creates more good vs. take care of the bad.

Do you have a good life story of your own? I would love to hear!
