DIY Stranger Things Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Party!

Hey All!

As you all know it’s National Ice Cream Month aka my favorite time of year! It’s also National Ice Cream day is Sunday the 21st and this is also the month Stranger Things 3 premiered. It’s essentially a month filled with ALLLL my favorite things! To celebrate them all together I decided to throw a little Stranger Things themed Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Party! I went all out with the DIY’s and shopping for this party. I made a Scoops Ahoy ice cream cups, a marquee sign, a whole Scoops ahoy outfit for me and my hubby so we looked like employees, I got every Baskin Robins Stranger Things Ice Cream they made and anything you can find with Scoops Ahoy on it at Target!

I think it came out amazing! I even made a mini version of the USS Butterscotch sundae they have in the show. I made mine with Eggo Waffles because it just seemed right. Munching on some amazing ice cream is the perfect way to binge watch this show! Who wouldn’t want to have a Scoops Ahoy in their own home? I know I do, so I made it happen. If you didn’t get a chance to go to the Baskin Robins Scoops Ahoy shop here in Burbank, CA, this is your way to live your Scoops Ahoy dreams as well.

I’m going to tell you exactly how I put my party together and how I made everything. So here goes…

To make the Scoops Ahoy Sundae you’ll need Eggo Waffles, Wooden Skewers, Scoops Ahoy USS Butterscotch Ice Cream from Baskin Robbins, some patriotic sprinkles, waffle cone bowls, caramel and whipped cream.

I’ll share how to make the Scoops Ahoy ice cream cups in a minute. Let me first tell you how to make the sundae. You’ll place the ice cream inside a waffle bowl with some whipped cream and caramel. You’ll sprinkle some of your patriotic red, white, and blue sprinkles onto the ice cream.

You’ll then warm up some Eggo Waffles in the toaster. Don’t let them get too dark when you heat them up. Cut a wooden skewer down to size and cut an Eggo Waffle in half. Pull a skewer through one half of the Eggo Waffle to make it like a sail of a boat.

Place the Eggo Sail into the sundae and you’re done! Simple right! Super tasty too!

This sundae would honestly work with any of the amazing Baskin Robins Stranger Things 3 ice creams.

My favorite is the Praline Portal! It’s the best and I’ve eaten like 5 tubs of it since it’s come out. My second favorite is the shadow sherbet and my husband loves the Mind Flayer Mint.

These ice creams fit perfectly inside these Inflatable Ahoy Hat Pool floats from Big Mouth Inc.!

They are so much fun!

To make the Scoops Ahoy cups, sign, Robin name tag, and Ahoy Sailor hat you’ll need to Download This Free Printable I put together. I literally just found the Ahoy fonts and made all of this on my computer.

You just get some standard sized ice cream cups from like the Target dollar section and print my ice cream cup wrappers onto some white cardstock. Cut the wrappers out and wrap them around your ice cream cups.

Tape the wrappers onto the cup with some tape or you can hot glue them on as well. What ever works! Cut off any excess and boom you have yourself some scoops ahoy ice cream cups! Pair them with some small white ice cream spoons and you’re good to go!

Little Scoops Steve approves!

I love this little Scoops Ahoy themed Steve Funko Pop doll. You can snag one of him HERE!

How cute is he? Love it! I put him on my table as a decoration because you have to have a mini Steve at your Scoops Ahoy party!

I got a sailer themed table cloth from Party City!

And this Scoops Ahoy Towel that I draped over the table.

I also got these fun magnets at Baskin Robbins that are Scoops Ahoy themed and put them on the table.

For the sign, again download that Free Printable I put together and you simply cut the sign out with either scissors or a Cricut Explore and stick it together piece by piece with some matte clear magic tape. It goes together pretty seamlessly. Add some red, white and blue streamers for an added decoration.

To make the hat cut out the AHOY letters from blue stick on vinyl using the AHOY template I proved in the Free Printable I put together. I used my Cricut Explore to cut my letters, but you can cut them out by hand as well. Stick the letters onto this White Sailor Hat. Super easy I know. You can pair it with this Scoops Ahoy shirt I got at Target and print out the Robin name tag from my free printable onto some sticker and stick it onto your shirt. Pair it all with some white pants and sneakers and you’re ready to serve some Scoops Ahoy ice cream sundaes!

For some extra fun you can get some Scoops Ahoy Slime to play with during your parties. This IS NOT EDIBLE, but it’s themed and fun!

That’s basically everything I did for my party! I also got my own hottie Steve to serve me ice cream. He’s wearing the shirt they had in Baskin Robins! Again we bought all the Scoops Ahoy things!

I hope you have fun throwing your own Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Parties and don’t forget to enjoy some ice cream from National Ice Cream Day this Sunday!

Have a sweet time and don’t forget to binge Stranger Things 3! It’s the bomb!
