Hey All!
At Alt Summit and today on their Facebook page Cricut unveiled it’s new MEGA Crafting Machine called the Cricut Explore! I have to say it is sexy folks and a must share on this Tech Tuesday. It’s a crafters and designers dream machine. I’m over the moon over this machine and I can’t wait to get my hands on one.
Here is some info directly from the site:
Introducing the new Cricut Explore™ design-and-cut system! The Cricut Explore™ system blends an electronic cutting machine with Cricut Design Space™, the free online design software, to help you make polished DIY projects. Create by using the hundreds of ready-to-make projects, the 50,000+ images from the Cricut® library or by uploading your own images. You can even use the Cricut® cartridges you already own! Available on HSN in February and in stores March 15!
You can do DIY projects in minutes!
Want to make something fast? Browse ready–to–make projects in Cricut Design Space™, the free online software for the Cricut Explore™ machine. Be inspired and get creative with projects for home décor, parties, cardmaking, scrapbooking, school projects, and more.
The Cricut Explore™ machine features patent-pending Cut Smart™ technology so you can cut a wide range of shapes and sizes with exceptional precision. You’ll get polished, professional–looking cuts as small as ¼ inch tall and up to 11½ inches wide by 23½ inches tall.
No settings required! Say goodbye to complicated materials settings. Now you can get the perfect cut on nearly any material—just turn the Smart Set™ dial. You can even create custom settings for different materials.
Upload your own designs! The Cut What You Want® tool makes it easy to convert your own design into a cuttable image in just a few clicks! Upload .jpg, .png, .bmp and .gif files for free, or use .svg and .dxf files as part of a monthly subscription. You can even use fonts already installed on your computer.
Cut and write in one step! Cricut Explore™ can cut a card and then write a greeting exactly where you want. It can also cut a box and score the fold lines in one step. This is the feature I’m most looking forward to!
Designed for a lifetime! From its premium German carbide to its solid machine construction, every part of the Cricut Explore™ experience has been thoughtfully designed.
This is surely to be the crafting machine to end all crafting machines! I’m counting down the days until I can get one on HSN and start making some Queen of Swag Confetti! At least you can do Monthly Payments on HSN!
Are you going to run out and get one for yourself?

I saw this earlier today and I have to say I am intrigued to learn more. I ave been saving for the other machine so now I have to compare and figure out which is best for what I want to do. Can’t wait to hear more about it from you.
If I got one, I probably wouldn’t use it much . . . kind of like what happened with my laminator 😛 Seems like a great gadget for crafters though!
WOW that sounds so cool! I love how by a turn of the nob you can do fabric, cardstock and more!! Sounds amazing!!
This looks awesome! I have an original Cricut and can not believe how far they’ve advanced over the last few years.

This might help me to become more craftier. I do have a couple of crafty friends that would really appreciate this!
Wow what’s not to like if you’re a crafter that looks like the Cadillac of supplies for a scrapbooker!
I’ve never used anything like this. I so wish I didn’t work and I could stay home and do fun projects.
That looks interesting. I have never laid hands on the original Cricut.
I’ve always wanted a Cricut &this new one is super cool! I’m not even that crafty {I wish I was, I’m just not good at it} but there are so many fun projects I could do with this.
Words cannot describe how bad I want this!
I could surely use of of these but I bet I wouldn’t use it much though.

I have wanted a Cricut for … EVER!
How cool! I’d love a cricut and to get more into crafting.
My friend has an old Cricut and loves it, but has some problems with it. I’d be interested to see how much better this one is. I definitely would love to have something like this!
It sounds like it’s really smart now. I need to do a bit of reading and see all that it can do because I might need to invest.
I just bought the Silhouette Cameo so I doubt I’ll be in the market for a Cricut Explore anytime soon. It does look like a neat machine though.
