Hey All!
During our wedding week we had a ton of family and friends visiting from out of town. Some had never been to Los Angeles or Hollywood before and we were looking for the perfect way to give them a Hollywood experience they would not forget. That’s when we thought to take them on the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour. It offers an intimate glimpse behind the scenes at Warner Bros. Studios.
You’ll start your adventure at the Warner Bros. Tour Store & Center. Conveniently located in the VIP Tour Center is a WB gift shop, Starbucks Coffee and Villa Dolce Gelato. Adjacent to the Tour Center is the Studio Plaza Café where you can enjoy breakfast or lunch among studio personnel (open weekdays). They also have amazing WB candy made by my favorite Sticky Candy that you can enjoy as you wait for your tour to begin.
Once your tour begins you are given a knowledgeable tour guide who will show you where and how the studio created some of the most memorable moments in film and television history.
You then start your journey through the historic Warner Bros. back lot. From Midwest Street’s quaint town square to Hennesy Street’s urban city exteriors, to the Jungle’s forested lagoon, you’re sure to recognize these locations from some of today’s and yesterday’s most popular films and television series.
This building seen below is where Spider-Man and Mary Jane shared their famous upside down kiss in the original Spider-Man movies.
The Strand Club and this block seen below will be seen in the upcoming “Jersey Boys” musical film.
This church was seen in one of my favorite films “Monster Squad.”
After you are taken through various locations of the back lot, you’re then taken to the Warner Bros. Museum to check out all their amazing Harry Potter film props. We had an amazing time basking at all the amazing Harry Potter history. You can even get sorted with the sorting hat into a house at Hogwarts.
Starting June 26th they will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of DC Comics’ Batman with a Warner Bros. Batman Exhibit! Original costumes, props and artwork will be on display in the Warner Bros. Museum, and the Picture Car Vault will be dressed as the bat-cave! You don’t want to miss it! It wasn’t open when we went but we saw the big sign and they are sharing lots of amazing pictures on the VIP Tour Facebook page. We’re going to have to go back just to see this exhibit since it’s only there for a limited time.
After the museum we saw where they shot the famed television show “Friends” and we even got a chance to see the famed Central Perk Coffee shop and take a photo.
And lastly we took a tour through their props rental house. There we got glimpses of props being held and used for some big movies. I’m not going to give any hints, but we did see a huge Marvel movie’s props being held. The whole family was geeking out.
Now filming on the Warner Bros. Lot are your favorite hit television shows such as The Big Bang Theory, Conan, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Mentalist, Two and a Half Men, Pretty Little Liars, Mike & Molly and more! With actual filming and production all around, no two tours are alike and the possibilities are endless! And always, always be on the lookout for a star!
Our family and friends loved the tour! It was just the Hollywood experience they were looking for. They couldn’t stop talking about it even after they left.
The tour is the perfect experience to give to anyone visiting the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. Did you know they are now offering the tour in Spanish if you need a Spanish language tour? If you’re Latino like we are this definitely came in handy! We have plenty of family who only speak Spanish. Children 8 yrs + are welcome. If you decide to take a tour please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the tour for check-in. Adults must present a valid government issued ID (Driver’s License or Passport) for entrance to the Studio lot.
Still photography is limited and video filming is not permitted. Personal belongings may be subject to search.
The VIP Tour Center is located at 3400 W. Riverside Drive Burbank, CA. 91505 (map)

Oh this would be so much fun!
So lucky to enjoy a tour where many movies took place! I bet your family enjoyed every sec of the tour. If i had the chance to be in los Angeles, i would love to visit the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour and check out the Harry Potter film props!
I bet your out of town guests just loved this. I have never done this tour but hope to one day very soon.
Isn’t it fun to do the “touristy” things like that when you have guests visiting? We’ve been doing a lot of that lately here in TX when company comes to visit us. That WB Tour sounds like a real fun thing to do.
I followed along in your adventure, looks like you had a ball.
Oh wow, what a fun tour!
I have been to LA several times but have not gone on this tour. How could I miss it? I need to see the Harry Potter stuff! Thanks for the info!
