We’re Having A Bubbly Baby!

Hey all!

It’s our big announcement! I’m sure a bunch of you already guessed it since we’ve been at a bunch of baby events, but we’re having a baby! Yasssss! It’s finally happening folks! I’ve been saying I wanted a new baby for 2 years now and we’re finally having a bubbly baby! Our baby is due to arrive first week of September!

My husband and I couldn’t be happier, as we had been trying (poorly trying I should say) for the past 2 years. I say poorly trying because it wasn’t until I started working with Clearblue last year that I started really doing everything that needed to be done to plan for a new baby.

I started tracking my ovulation and all the rest that comes with really trying. I would say it took about 6-7 months of really monitoring everything and trying to get pregnant. I’m so thankful that we didn’t have to go through any fertility treatments or testing. We did have some help from the Stork OTC, but that’s something you can buy at Target and I’ll get into more of that later.

I thank god every day that he blessed us with a baby the good old fashioned way. I could not afford to do all those crazy fertility treatments and I would be devastated if I had and nothing happened. I had to keep this news a secret, since their is a risk for miscarriage those first few months. They always say to wait until you’re in the second trimester to start telling people. We are now in the second trimester and over 15 weeks in and I’m soooooo glad to finally be able to shout it from the rooftops.

I’m thrilled for this baby and I can’t wait to start decorating the baby room, planning my baby shower, and sharing all the cute baby products and outfits I buy. I’ve already started buying outfits and I’m thrilled to now be able to share everything we have in store!

I have also been planning this announcement photo shoot for some time! I knew I wanted it to be fun, colorful and have a rainbow theme. Essentially I wanted it to be very me and very Brite & Bubbly! I wanted a rainbow balloon with clouds and the words baby across it, so I decided to make one myself. I think it came out pretty good for the one day I spent making it with my hubby. I kid you not I did this in a day.

I made it by gluing those balloons that you make balloon animals with together with a low temperature hot glue gun and some white 5 inch and 8 inch balloons for the clouds.

I also put the word baby on this giant rainbow balloon as well!

We went over to my friend Ben’s house, who painted his garage pink (how amazing is that) and my friend Heather (who you can find on Instagram at Seizingbeauty) shot the photos for us! I had so much fun in this shoot.

Throwing confetti and celebrating our baby is always a good time! I used the confetti I got at my friend Oh Joy’s party for the shoot!

This is such a fun and crazy time for me and I so appreciate your support and positive vibes as we find a new balance to juggle everything while I’m expecting! It’s been a doozy just trying to work while pregnant, but I’m getting the hang of it!

Stay tuned for the adorable bun in the oven gender reveal DIY I made that I’ll be sharing later this week. In that post I’ll share when the baby will arrive and so forth!

We already know what the gender is! I actually prayed for it and got beyond lucky!

Do you want to guess what it’s going to be?
