Check out this fun DIY Glow In The Dark Halloween Decorations!
This post is sponsored by Surebonder®. All Opinions are my own.
Hey all!
With all the DIY’s I’ve made over the years I’ve been blogging, there is one product I’ve used on almost 90% of my projects and that’s Surebonder® Glue Guns and Glue Sticks! They are a staple in my crafts and DIY projects and I’m thrilled to partner with them for the Halloween season to make this fun DIY “Glow In The Dark” Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein Halloween decoration!
I LOVE how these turned out and they go perfect with my Halloween decorations this year.
I think they are the perfect mix of cute yet spooky Halloween decorations.
I’m also obsessed with how their eyes and hair glow in the dark!
The amazing folks Surebonder® we’re kind enough to send me a variety of their incredible products to make this DIY with. I had their glue guns for some time now, so I was thrilled to try some new ones. I love Surebonder® not only because the glue guns and glue sticks are best around, they are also a family owned business.
They’ve been around since 1968 and they always provide affordable and innovative adhesive solutions that are engineered and manufactured right in the USA! I’m all about supporting products made in the USA!
They sent us their Full Size Ultra Duel Temp Glue Gun with Auto Shut Off, The Professional 18 Volt Full Size Glue Gun, The Crafting and DIY Cordless/Corded Mini Size Specialty Detail Tip Glue Gun, and The Duel Temp Ultra Mini Size Glue Gun.
All of these glue guns are great for both large and small DIY projects. I could not wait to use them all! They also sent their Glue Gun Nozzles and an incredible variety of their glue sticks.
For this project we’re using their Full-Size Ultra Duel Temp Glue Gun with Auto Shut Off…
And their Crafting and DIY Cordless/Corded Mini Size Specialty Detail Tip Glue Gun.
We’ll also be using the Glow Stiks (Which glow in the dark)…
The Glitter Stiks (Which come in a variety of fun colors)…
And their Clear Stiks, which come in sizes for mini and full-size glue guns. They are my go-to for all my crafts and I love that they come in long sticks and rolls, so you don’t have to constantly change glue sticks as your making your DIY’s and crafts.
Below is the full list of everything you’ll need and use for this Spooktastic DIY:
- Frankenstein and his Bride wood cut outs
- Black, White and Red Craft Foam
- Green Rhinestones
- Green, Purple, and Black paint
- Paint Brushes
- Silver Paint Markers
- And all the amazing products from Surebonder® that I mentioned above.
To make this fun DIY, turn on your glue guns and insert one of Clear Stik glue sticks into the large and the Glow Stik glue stick into the mini glue gun. Make sure you don’t touch the hot glue or the hot tips on the glue guns while you make this DIY.
Paint the Bride with a Purple Face and Black hair.
Paint the Frankenstein green with silver bolts and black hair.
We’ll start with the Frankenstein, as he’s a little easier to make. Once the paint is dry, glue on a piece of black craft foam to to the back to fill in the eyeballs, mouth and scars.
You then take your silver marker and paint on the pupils of the eyes.
You then fill in the silver painted bolts with the silver glitter glue sticks.
Lastly you fill in the eye sockets with the Glow Stik glue.
Let Frankie harden and move on to the Bride of Frankenstein.
For the Bride you’ll add some white, black and red craft foam to her back to fill in her lips, eyes and scars.
You then fill in her pupils with the silver marker.
You then fill her hair stripes and eye pupils with the Glow Stick glue.
Replace your Glow Stick Glue from the Detail Tip Glue Glue Gun with the red Glitter Stik. You then use red Glitter Stiks to fill her lips.
Lastly you glue a green rhinestone on her face for a birthmark.
Let the glue dry completely for both the Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. That’s all you have to do to make this super cute and fun Halloween Decoration!
You can hang them with some ribbon on some doors or you can place them on your fire place mantel or anywhere you’d like around the home.
I love how these turned out! You can check out the glow in the dark decorations in action in our reel video below:
I hope you love them as much as I do!
