It’s Back to School time and I wanted to make my son a fun treat to celebrate him starting his new school. I used to love Dunkaroos as a kid and I thought this would be a fun way to introduce him to the joys of Dunkaroos and control the amount of sugar in the cookies. Check out these Back To School Dunkaroo Cookies!
They are so fun and tasty! They take me back to the 90’s!
I know my son is going to love them! Here is how to make them:
1 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter, softened 1 1⁄2 C light brown sugar, packed
1⁄2 Cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract 4 C flour
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 Cup chocolate chips
2 Cup funfetti sprinkles, divided
1 container of vanilla frosting
5 packages of dunkaroo cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined and fluffy.
Using a medium bowl, whisk the flour, salt, and baking powderGradually mix in the dry ingredients into the wet until a dough forms. Fold in the 2 C chocolate chips and 1 Cup of funfetti sprinkles.
Using a medium ice cream scoop, scoop dough into your hands and roll into a ball.
Place onto the cookie sheets and bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes.
Allow the cookies to cool completely and then spoon 1 tbsp of the vanilla frosting on top of the cookies and sprinkle some funfetti sprinkles on top.
Spread the frosting on the top of the cookie.
Place a Dunkaroos cookie in the center of the frosting and you’re done!
Place in your kinds lunch boxes and tell them how much you loved Dunkaroos when you were a kid!
