Hey All!

We’re keeping the cute easy holiday DIY’s coming with these super cute and easy to make Darice Holiday Photo Holders! How fun are these? They are so simple to make and the perfect way to display those holiday photos on your fire place mantle or they would be super cute to put cascading down the center of a holiday dinner table. I used Darice products to make them and I’m thrilled to be once again working with my most favorite craft supplies company Darice and their fabulous online crafts shop ConsumerCrafts.com to bring you this fun holiday DIY! All of the products used to make these were found on ConsumerCrafts.com! They have the best deals and bargains for craft supplies on the net! You don’t want to miss their deals today! These took me about an hour to make and that’s only because I had to wait for paint to dry. Besides the paint drying time, these are super quick and easy to make!

The snowman is of course my favorite! We made a snowman, gingerbread girl, reindeer, and a dotted color block ornament for our photo stands. I wanted to have all the fun symbols of the holiday season. I think their little faces are so cute.

Here is how to make them!

  • One Darice® Matte Acrylic Paint: Fuchsia, 2 ounces
  • One Darice® Matte Acrylic Paint: Golden Brown, 2 ounces
  • One Darice® Matte Acrylic Paint: Espresso, 2 ounces
  • One Darice® Matte Acrylic Paint: White, 2 ounces
  • One Darice® Metallic Acrylic Paint: Gold, 2 ounces
  • One Package of Darice Clear Glass Card Holder Ornaments: 40mm, 12 pack
  • Orange Craft Foam
  • Thin Paint Brush
  • Darice Brown Pipe Cleaners
  • Darice Card Holder Clean Ornaments ( They are like place card holders in the shape of ornaments.)
  • Darice Premium Pink Cardstock
  • The Foam Snowflakes, blue pom poms and blue pipe cleaner from the Foamies® Group Activity Kit – Snowman
  • Pink and red pom poms.
  • Pink and Black Marker
  • Hot glue gun and glue

You start by selecting how ever many you will make and remove the metal photo holders from the glass balls. You then fill the balls with the paint colors corresponding to the holiday design you’re making. The white is the snowman, the Fuchsia is the ornament, the Golden Brown is the gingerbread girl, the Espresso dark brown color is the reindeer. You swirl the paint around the ball so all the glass is colored.

For the gingerbread girl you paint on some white eyes, nose, and mouth. You also paint on some white dots around the face. You draw on some pink cheeks with the pink marker and paint some little round lapels at the bottom. You then make her bow.

You cut out the bow shape from pink cardstock and glue a pink pom pom to the center. You glue the bow to the top of the ornament ball and you’re done.

Cute right? Love her!

For the snowman you paint on the eyes and mouth on with a marker. You then cut out a carrot shape from the orange craft foam and glue it to the center of the face to make his nose.

You then glue on the blue pipe cleaner and blue pom poms to make his pom pom ear muffs.

To make the reindeer you twist the brown pipe cleaners into an antler shape and glue them to your Espresso painted ornament ball.

You glue one to each side!

You then draw on some eyes with your black marker and glue on a red pom pom to the center to make the face.

And last but not least, to make the gold color block dotted ornament ball you just paint half the ornament gold and some dots at the top of the ornament and let it dry.

The dots can be various size. It looks cuter in my opinion when the dots are not all the same size. Let this one really dry before you touch it. It takes like an hour to dry.

It’s such a cute and trendy little ornament photo holder!

You then glue each ball to a styrofoam snowflake and you’re done! Place your photos in the top round holders and decorate your home with these fun holiday photo holders!

They are the perfect little holiday decoration that your can personalize with your holiday photos of your friends and family!

I hope you love these as much as I do!
