Hey All!
Summer is in full swing and you all know I’m all about the rainbows. It’s the time of year where I bake up a storm and host a lot of fun parties. I love to bake tasty treats, but I don’t like to spend a ton of time over a hot oven. This is especially true in the summer time! I like to make quick and easy baked recipes, and thankfully baking is now a breeze for me thanks to these new Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags!
You can make these easy rainbow cookie cups in a flash with these babies! Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags are new at Walmart, which is where I got mine! Walmart always has what I’m looking for in their awesome baking aisle.
What I love about these is you don’t need a handful of tools to create something special while you’re baking. They come with the piping tip already in the bag and are ready to use straight out of the box. Baking is made easy with Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags!
Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags come in 16oz bags and are available in three flavors: vanilla, chocolate fudge, and cream cheese. I used the cream cheese flavor in this fun recipe and they taste almost like bite sized cheesecakes. I’m obsessed with them!
Here is how to make them!
- Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags Cream Cheese 16oz
- 1 Packages of Pillsbury™ Premade Sugar Cookie Dough
- 5 Rainbow Food Coloring Tubes
- A Variety of Rainbow Sprinkles
- Mini Cupcake Pan
- Spoon
- Non-Stick Baking Spray
Pre-heat your oven at 350 degrees.
First you cut your cookie dough into 5 separate pieces.
You then add a drop of food coloring in each color to each separate piece. Knead the coloring into the cookie dough until the dough is completely the color of your choice. So your cookie cups don’t stick to your pan, spray your mini cupcake pan with some non-stick baking spray. I always do this even if it says it’s a non-stick pan. I don’t trust it.
Take one small piece from each of the colored cookie dough pieces and roll it into a ball.
Place the small ball of rainbow dough into your mini cupcake pan. With your finger make a little cup shape by pushing down into the center of the ball.
Once you’re done making the cup shapes in the dough, bake your cookie cups for 10 minutes.
When they are done, before they cool, press your spoon down the middle of the warm cookie cups to make the cup shape again. They tend to rise in the center when they bake.
Let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes and them move them to a cooling rack for them to cool completely.
Once they are completely cool, use your Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags Cream Cheese to pipe in your cookie cup center filling.
Add some rainbow sprinkles to the top and you’re done!
I added some candy cherries to mine as an added decoration, but you can just add your rainbow sprinkles and be done with it.
Serve them to all your friends at all your rainbow parties or fun get togethers.
These are a treat you can easily make with your kids as well since the Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags are so easy to use and very kid friendly!
Frosting is made fun and easy for the whole family with Pillsbury™ Filled Pastry Bags!
I hope you enjoy these fun and easy rainbow cookie cups as much as I do!
