Hey All!
So how many of you love Peeps? Are you excited that it’s the Easter Season and Peeps are in season?
I have to admit I LOVE PEEPS! I’m sure most of you love peeps as well. But I really LOVE peeps. I’ve had a long great history with Peeps Marshmallow yummy treats. I’ve had them every since I was a child and I also have passed on my love of peeps to my kid.
I have the fondest memories of Peeps because they always remind me of the Holidays. I believe I have Peeps for every Holiday! Christmas I have snow man and tree Peeps. Halloween I have Ghosts and Pumpkin and Black Cat peeps. And of course for Easter I have my lovely Pink Bunny and Yellow chick peeps.
I have chick peeps all year round sad to admit. I LOVEEEE this Easter is coming so you can find peeps as far as the eye can see at any store you go to right now. I love it.
They are always so festive and always make you feel so good inside. One of my favorite Peeps moments was going shopping with my mom as a child for my Easter basket fillings and she would always get me at least two boxes of peeps to fill the basket. I loved these peeps so much that I would take my time to eat them and savor them when I got to open my Easter Basket. The peeps were always the first thing I went for inside the Easter Basket. And I loved that my mom loved them as well so we always had that love of Peeps bond between us.
I’ll say it again…I LOVE PEEPS. I also use them for my teens hot cocoa and to decorate with when I’m baking. Sometimes I put them as treats in the Easter egg hunt. I digress…
Another moment with Peeps that I love comes always around Halloween time when me and my teen make our annual Halloween cake together with Peep Ghost decorations.
I love that it is something that we do together and no matter what age he gets we still enjoy making it together. We take the time to make every detail from the tombstones, to the cookie dirt that we mash by hand. We both place each Peep ghost in a specific place of our liking. We love making this cake and it’s always a moment in time and memory that I cherish when we make this cake together. We bond during this time and I have to say the Peeps do bring it all together.
They also have this Peep cake on the Peeps website that we are thinking of trying to make this year. But I have to say I think our family recipe will stay since it has sentimental value to me for all the moments we have making it.
Those are some of my favorite moments with Peeps. What are yours?
