Hey All!

As you all know I loved the Disney movie Oz the Great & Powerful. I have raved about this movie for some time and I was now given the opportunity to review the new Blu-ray Combo Pack! In honor of this great opportunity, I decided to throw a little movie watching party with my family. I knew I would need to make some Oz inspired snacks and decorations.

I decided to make some Poppie Flower Centerpiece decorations…

And some Oz themed cookies.

If you’ve seen the film, there is an entire field of Poppies that you can’t get stuck in or you will fall asleep.

To Make the Poppie Flowers you will need:

• 12 Gauge Green Aluminum Craft Wire
• Floral Foam
• Red and Green Tissue Paper
• Scissors
• Knife
• 3 square vases

You start by cutting the floral foam into small squares that fit inside the vases.

You then cut the 12 Gauge Green Aluminum Craft Wire into 5-6 inch sticks to make the stems. You can make these any size you’d like.

You can cut the desire amount of flowers you’d like to make. You then cut circle pieces from the red tissue paper. You then poke the wire through the paper and fold over the wire. The paper will be secure if you fold the wire over like a hook. Then squeeze the tissue paper together so that it forms a triangle shape. You then press the flowers into the floral foam inside the vases. You then cover the foam with green tissue paper and you’re done!

Then you simple decorate with sprinkles or what ever you see fit. Here are some visuals of when I was making my cookies. Yes I have Mickey measuring cups and a Mickey rolling pin.

We’re all set and ready for our Oz Movie night!

I love how the Glinda Crown cookie and balloon came out. I searched high and low for a cookie cutter that matched a similar shape to her crown.
