Hey All!
As Mother’s Day is around the corner I wanted to share some fun and cute easy to make gift ideas with you made that I made with Martha Stewart Crafts! One cute idea is Etched Glass Coasters that say Mom on them of course.
For this craft you will need:
- Martha Stewart Crafts™ Classic Serif Alphabet Glass Adhesive Stencils
- Martha Stewart Crafts Glass Etching Cream
- Martha Stewart Acrylic Paints
- Paint brushes
- Glass Coaster
- Alcohol, tissues, and paper towels
To Make this craft…
Clean the glass coasters with Alcohol to make sure the surface is clean.
Then place the adhesive alphabet and stencils onto glass coasters.
Put on some plastic gloves on and paint a couple of layers of etching cream onto the stencils. Make sure that it’s thick so the etching takes. Let dry for 15 minutes and then rinse off the etching cream with water.
Peel off adhesive stencils and you will be done and have some amazing etched glass coasters.
My glass coasters allowed you to place a photo inside, but instead I painted 4 pieces of 3 inch x 3 inch cardboard to add some color to my coasters so the etching pops more.
This is a cute idea that any mom would love to get for Mother’s Day!
I also made Monogram Polka Dot Flower Pots.
For this craft you will need:
- Martha Stewart Crafts™ Classic Serif Alphabet Glass Adhesive Stencils
- Martha Stewart™ Acrylic Paints
- Martha Stewart Crafts™ Glass Paint Stenciling Tools
- Paper Towels
To make this craft place the adhesive alphabet M O M on the flower pots. Then dip you stencil sponge tool into your paints.
Paint over the stencils at least two coats of paint so the letters really come through on the pots. Let dry for 15 minutes.
Then pour two drops of the two paints of your choice on a paper towel and dip the stencil sponge tool into both paints at the same time covering the tool with both sides of the tool.
This creates the multi-colored ombre look polka dots. Place the tool along the edge of the top of the flower pot and make dots.
That’s it you’re done and you have another cute gift for mom this Mother’s Day!
