Check out the new episode of The Goldbergs! Our chat with chat with Wendi McLendon-Covey and Hayley Orrantia!
Hey All!
I recently had the amazing opportunity to chat with Wendi McLendon-Covey (Executive Producer / “Beverly Goldberg”) and Hayley Orrantia (“Erica Goldberg”) from THE GOLDBERGS about their upcoming episode called “Uncle-ing”. With her due date approaching, Erica is over the exhausting pregnancy and demands a “babymoon.” When things take an unforeseen turn, Geoff is tasked with producing the one person Erica needs more than anyone. Meanwhile, Adam and Barry seek out advice on “uncle-ing” from some unexpected sources. This episode airs tonight October 19th at 8:30-9:00 p.m. EDT on ABC.
If you’ve never heard of The Goldbergs, it’s an amazing show that takes place in the 80’s and follows a hilarious family. They are in their monumental 10th season celebrating everything we love about our favorite ‘80s household while also welcoming a new season of life. With everyone living back under the same roof and Beverly preparing for her new role as a Grandsmother, there is more Goldbergs pandemonium than ever! As this new chapter unfolds, the Goldbergs continue to remind us that there is no bond greater than family, and there is nothing they can’t handle with each other’s support.
Since Wendi Plays one of the most iconic moms on TV, I asked her what her advice would be for new moms.
Wendi shared the following great hilarious advice:
I would say give yourself some grace because none of this is going to go according to the books. Make friends with baby wipes cuz you’re not going to get a shower any time soon. Keep cold washcloths (I call them spa towels) in your fridge for when you need to swab yourself down, because you don’t have control over a lot of this. Give yourself some grace because it’s going to be out of control at times, yet it is going to be a fun time. You are going to miss it when it goes. I’m only saying that because that’s what I saw my friends go through. Again I can’t stress it enough, I am not speaking from experience because I have no children.
I know many new moms will definitely find that advice so helpful. Moms can always be so hard on themselves.
Don’t miss this amazing episode of The Goldbergs airing tonight on ABC!
