The summer heat has arrived and the last thing I want to be doing is slaving away in a hot kitchen. I’d rather be out laying in the sun, than roasting over a hot oven and stove top.  The ventilation in my kitchen is very poor and it’s always the hottest place in the house when I am cooking. When summer comes I try to turn on the oven as little as possible to keep that area cool. It heats up the rest of the house if that area is hot. Yes my kitchen is like a sauna! We can’t wait to move to say the least. Thank god my family loves cold recipes just as much as they love their hot recipes. I’m happy to have my Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh meats on hand to come up with some quick and easy recipes for my family.

Since today’s forecast calls for 100 degree weather today, I decided to make some fun slider sandwiches that the kids and myself can enjoy by the pool. They are small and easy to carry around and eat as they dash in and out of the pool. I like my sandwiches to have a lot of flavor so I tend to fill them up with a lot of zesty ingredients.

To make these sliders you need:

• Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Turkey Breast
• Small Rolls
• Thin Sharp Cheddar Slices
• Pesto
• Olive Oil
• Vinegar
• Avocado
• Mayo

To Make:

1. Slice the small rolls in half.

2. Spread a small amount of mayo on each side.

3. Spread a small amount of Pesto on top of each side of the roll.

4. Cut your Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Turkey Breast into smaller pieces so that they fit the size of the rolls and place onto the roll in a triangular shape.

5. Cut you Sharp Cheddar cheese slices into smaller pieces so that they fit the size of the rolls and place onto the roll in a triangular shape.

6. Dice your Avocado into smaller cubes and place onto the turkey and cheese.

7. Drizzle some Vinegar and Olive oil onto the Avocado.

8. Place the top half of the bun onto the slider sandwich.

That’s it you’re done. Serve and enjoy!
