One of the biggest panels I went to this past weekend at D23 Expo 2019 was the Disney+ panel! It made it’s debut with its first-ever showcase presentation and I was completely there for ALL OF IT! I can not wait to start streaming this November 12th! Disney+ plus has taken my money already folks! I’m signed up and I got the pin to prove it! I’ll share more about the deal they are having a little later. During the panel they announced the Disney+ slate of originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic and included sneak peeks, trailer premieres, and exclusive news about the service and its upcoming projects. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who stars in theĀ Disney+ original film āLady and the Tramp,ā hosted the lively presentation, welcoming Kevin Mayer, chairman, Direct-to-Consumer & International, to the stage to kick off the show.
Launching on November 12, 2019,Ā Disney+ will be the dedicated streaming home for movies and shows fromĀ Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more, together, for the first time. From The WaltĀ DisneyCompanyās Direct-to-Consumer and International segment,Ā Disney+ will offer ad-free programming with a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content.Ā Alongside unprecedented access toĀ Disneyās incredible library of film and television entertainment, and 30 seasons of āThe Simpsonsā in the U.S., the service will also be the exclusive streaming home for films released by The WaltĀ DisneyĀ Studios in 2019 and beyond, including āCaptain Marvel,ā āAvengers: Endgame,ā āAladdin,ā āToy Story 4,ā āThe Lion King,ā āMaleficent: Mistress of Evil,ā āFrozen 2,āand āStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.ā The service will launch in select geographic territories, including U.S., Canada, and The Netherlands, followed shortly by Australia and New Zealand, with the expectation to be available in all major markets within the first two-years.

First offĀ Hilary Duff surprised the audience when it was announced she will reprise the role she made famous in an all-new Lizzie McGuire series from Terri Minsky!
I CAN NOT WAIT for Lucasfilmās āThe Mandalorianā! It’s honestly the main reason why I’m signing up for Disney+ because I NEED to see this show! It’s from executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni and stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito, and Taika Waititi, who brings the droid IG-11 to life! They premiered the teaser trailer for the first Star Wars live-action series at the panel.
Earlier in the day at theĀ DisneyĀ Legends Awards Ceremony, Robert A. Iger, chairman and chief executive officer, The WaltĀ DisneyĀ Company, announced that newĀ Disney Legend Ming-Na Wen will join the cast of the series. Set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, āThe Mandalorianā follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. They also had the talented up-and-coming cast of āHigh School Musical: The Musical: The Seriesā come out and do a huge performance. They brought down the house with a live performance of the multi-platinum hit song, āWeāre All In This Together.ā Immediately following the presentation, cast members Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Julia Lester, Larry Saperstein, Dara ReneĆ©, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Kate Reinders, Mark St. Cyr, and Showrunner Tim Federle invited 3,600 fans to watch the first episode in the D23 Expo Arena and revealed the seriesā teaser trailer. The 10-episode scripted series, set at the real-life East High, where the original movie was filmed, follows a group of students as they countdown to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of āHigh School Musical.ā Watch the trailer below:

Host Yvette Nicole Brown joined fellow āLady and the Trampā cast members Rose (āLadyā) and Monty (āTrampā)āthe canine stars of the filmāto premiere the first trailer from the film. In the timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic, a pampered house dog and a tough but lovable stray embark on an unexpected adventure and, despite their differences, grow closer and come to understand the value of home. āNoelleā stars Anna Kendrick and Billy Eichner joined Sean Bailey to announce their film will premiere on Disney+ on November 12 before sharing a new trailer. In the upcoming holiday comedy, Kris Kringleās daughter is full of Christmas spirit and holiday fun, but wishes she could do something āimportantā like her beloved brother Nick, who will take over from their father this Christmas.
When Nick is about to crumble like a gingerbread cookie from all the pressure, Noelle suggests he take a break and get awayā¦but when he doesnāt return, Noelle must find her brother and bring him back in time to save Christmas. Watch the trailerĀ here.
Stars Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk joined Kathleen Kennedy to introduce the audience to the second Lucasfilm live-action series for Disney+, which is now in development.Ā Both actors are reprising their roles from āRogue One: AĀ Star Wars Story,ā and the stories follow Cassian Andorās adventures as a rebel spy during the formative years of the Rebellion, before the events of āA New Hope.
Kathleen Kennedy announced that the highly anticipated new season of āStar Wars: The Clone Warsā will stream on Disney+ in February 2020. The EmmyĀ® award-winning animated series will be returning with twelve all-new episodes and will mark the return of classic characters Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi andĀ fan-favorites Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex.
They finally announced Lucasfilmās Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Starring Ewan McGregor! Obi-Wan Kenobi is coming back ya’ll!
Marvel Studios announced a bunch of shows and shared details on their already announced shows.
Stars Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen were on hand for their new series, Marvel Studiosā āWandaVision.ā Bettany returns as Vision and Olsen as Wanda Maximoffātwo super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.Ā Ā Kevin Feige surprised the audience by bringing to the stage Kat Dennings and Randall Park who will reprise their roles from āThorā and āAnt-Man and The Wasp,ā and then he introduced Kathryn Hahn who has been cast as a new character in the series. Director Matt Shakman and head writer Jac Schaeffer joined everyone on stage to reveal that the streaming series will blend the style of classic sitcoms with Marvel Cinematic Universe.Ā āWandaVisionā premieres on Disney+ in 2021.
Kevin Feige welcomed the director, Kate Herron, and head writer, Michael Waldron, of āLokiā to the stage. In Marvel Studiosā new Disney+ series āLoki,ā Tom Hiddleston returns as the mercurial Loki, the god of mischief and everyoneās favorite villain in stories that take place after the events of āAvengers: Endgame.ā āLokiā debuts onĀ Disney+ in 2021.
For Marvel Studiosā āWhat Ifā¦?ā Hayley Atwell was on hand to greet the audience. Atwell will voice Peggy Carter in Marvel Studiosā first animated series that focuses on different heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and imagines what would happen if the events in the films worked out differently. Kevin Feige also introduced director Bryan Andrews and head writer Ashley Bradley to the crowd.Ā āWhat Ifā¦?ā premieres on Disney+ in 2021.
Feige also announced She Hulk, MoonKnight, and Ms. Marvel! It’s going to be so awesome to watch these on Disney+! I can not wait!
