Shark Bait Jello Shot

Hey All!

It’s another day of Shark Week and today I’m sharing an adults only 21 years and older treat for folks to enjoy as you watch Shark Week this week. Here are some Easy Shark Week Jello Shots. You can easily make and enjoy them when you’re snuggling up at night. Heck, You can have a friend over and make a little shark shot game with them.

If you’re not into alcoholic jello shots, you could easily make these with out the alcohol. And remember if you make them alcoholic, don’t eat too many of them. You don’t want to get sick from the alcohol!

Shark Bait Jello Shot

Here is how to make them. I am including how to make them with alcohol, but you can remove the alcohol and make them as well.

Blue Layer:

  • 1 cup boiling water1 3-oz (small box) Berry Blue jello
  • 2⁄3 cup Malibu Rum (or other coconut rum)
  • 1⁄3 cup cold water

Red layer:

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • One 3-oz (small box) Cherry jello
  • 2⁄3 cup Fireball or other cinnamon whiskey
  • 1⁄3 cup cold water

Decorative layer:

  • Whip Cream
  • Blue food coloring
  • Crumbled Graham cracker
  • Shark gummy candy

For the Blue Layer:

In a medium sized bowl add the Berry Blue Jello with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until well combined. Add the chilled Coconut Rum and 1/3 cup cold water.

Stir until combined. Pour into jello shot cups 1⁄2 the way full. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

For the Red layer:

In a medium sized bowl add the Black Cherry Jello with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until well combined. Add the chilled Fireball Whiskey and 1/3 cup cold water.

Stir until combined. Set to the side for 30 minutes to reach room temp. Pour on top of the blue jello layer until full. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours until the Jello forms into a gelatin.

Then finally you move on to decorating…

Shark Bait Jello Shot

Cover the top of the jello with whip cream. Sprinkle 1⁄2 of the whip cream with crumbled graham crackers. Pour 2 drops of blue food coloring on a plate. Fill a small cup with water.

Using a small paint brush dip the brush into the water and then into the food coloring. Lightly paint the food coloring onto the whip cream.  Lastly top with a candy shark.
